It has been quite the season for engagement shoots! A friend kindly called me out the other day on only posting previews lately (thank you!), and Its true....Ever since returning from Romania, life has gone 0-60 with shoots popping up left and right (Thank the Lord). My goal today is to get a full shoot on up here. Thanks for your patience!

Yeah, I went there. I know, its only September 6th, but before we know it, it will be October, then Thanksgiving, and very shortly followed by the ever-anticipated Christmas. It sneaks up on us every year! So, I decided to help you out a bit and get the ball rolling with your family Christmas photos. This year has been pretty epic when it comes to family photo shoots. If you've not had your family documented this year, it is definitely not too late. Be creative, make a memory, and share your story through photos. Anyone can write a family newsletter to send to friends, but why not SHOW them the changes that have taken place this year?
And...just had to add this one in again...because its adorable, and who wouldn't want to look at this little face?!
Autumn is the season I look forward to the most. Summer is the runner up, but there is something about Autumn that makes the ending of summer not so harsh. The anticipation for cooler mornings, cup of hot coffee in hand, cuddled up in a crocheted blanket makes me want to pack away my bathing suit like there's no tomorrow. Today I went on a quick drive through the country to escape the city and see the growing harvest. So excited for pumpkins, apples, cider, sweaters, and all things good that come with this wonderful season. Autumn, you're welcome to come any day now. 
Ah, I can't believe a week ago I was spending my last night in Romania. Time flies way too fast these days... Trying to get back into the swing of things around here. Lots of weddings, engagement shoots, and adventures coming up in the next few months!
While I'm settling in, know that one of my dearest friends got married the day before I left for Romania. I was blessed to shoot her wedding and looking forward to posting it soon. For now, here's three shots from that special day:

Today we wrapped up our last day in Timişoara. A big thanks goes out to one of our cameras , which bailed on us midday. I guess we can truly be thankful that it happened on the last day and not on day one!
At the safe house (where we've been spending most of our time) are not only the living quarters of three victims, but the neighborhood hangout for several other regular guests, including refugees from Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, Tunisia, and Iraq. American cartoons, a game of chess, milk pasteurizing on the stove, cigarette smoke, Train ringtones,... every sense is overwhelmingly foreign yet the feeling is somehow harmonious and global, always pregnant with smiles and laughter... surprisingly, I imagined this is somewhat similar to what heaven will be like.

Thinking back on the last four days, we realize that it's impossible to film enough footage or take enough photographs that can exactly capture life in Romania. We'd advise you to come see for yourself if you want the real deal! But we know we've done our best at de- pic-ting Romania through the eyes of our lenses and we hope that you've enjoyed our journey as much as we have. Ciao and multsomesc!
