Old Town Alexandria Engagement
I first met Rachel during my sophomore year at JMU. We sat across each other in our very first graphic design class. Little did I know at that point that I would one day be standing next to her as she says her vows. Rachel and Mike have the privilege of claiming the title: high school sweethearts. Although I was overseas when Mike asked for Rachel's hand in marriage, that did not interfere with me hearing all about their relationship and how it continued to unfold. When I finally met Mike, I knew he and Rachel were made for each other. I'm excited for them as they prepare for their wedding in June...its going to be a blast!
amore...
I met Jonathan back in high school and have been able to see his and Lara's unique story unfold over the years. Jonathan's best friend first introduced the two of them back in college. I remember the day that Jonathan shared with me about his interest in Lara...she had come back from studying abroad in Italy where she went on tons of European travels and became quite the wine connoisseur. Jonathan, wanting to woo Lara, decided to set up a little mini replica of her time in Italy and asked her to teach him a thing or two about wine. That romantic gesture was all it took...she was hooked! It didn't take long for the two of them to realize they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. I missed the major events in their relationship while I was in Africa, so this shoot was extra fun for me as they caught me up on all the details of how the Lord brought them together, how Jonathan proposed, and what their plans are for their future. I am excited to continue to see their story unfold as they journey on together! I wanted to share some of their story with you through their engagement photos! I was a bit bummed out as our photo shoot begun because a storm was rolling in quickly. The first few shots were taken as the angry sky began to thunder. I gave Jonathan and Lara the option to reschedule but they were troopers and said they would actually love some shots in the rain! Umm....awesome! It drizzled the entire time until we got to our second location and the sky opened up....but we ended up getting the epic shot of the day as that happened (last photo) so we were all glad to be soaked...sacrifices! They tie the knot in just a few short days...blessings on your marriage and big move to Texas!
